Court reserves judgement in N86 legal challenge

Judgement has been reserved by the Commercial Court this evening in a legal challenge to the proposed realignment of the Tralee to Dingle road. Gavel 4 The hearing today was to establish if An Taisce should be granted permission to appeal a ruling relating to the N86 scheme. It seeks to straighten and improve the road from Dingle to Annascaul and from Gortbreagoge to Camp. In October, Mr Justice Robert Haughton dismissed the legal challenge taken by An Taisce at the High Court. A hearing relating to an appeal was due to take place last month but was adjourned until today. The Commercial Court is expected to deliver its judgement in the case next week.
