The County Council has launched a new campaign to encourage people in South Kerry to get more involved in its annual hedgerow competition. South Kerry Partnership and The Heritage Board have come on board with the council to promote the golden mile competition in the county. Council Heritage Officer Una Cosgrave Hanley says a new pilot scheme hopes to encourage more entries from South Kerry. She says the competition`s a great way of integrating the community and highlighting the beauty of the region.
