Councillors seek urgent meeting to discuss Sara Lee closure

Councillors in Killarney are seeking an urgent meeting with Minister Michael Martin to discuss the recent announcement by Sarah Lee that it`s to close. 92 people work at the plant and councillors believe they now need a strategy to create alternative industry. A further two meetings were also proposed. One with Mary Buckley, Regional Director of the IDA, and another with the Board of Trustees ot discuss the possibility of acquiring the facility that housed Sarah Lee.
