Councillor ‘disappointed’ that Kilcummin works won’t start until 2017

Kerry councillor says he’s ‘disappointed and shocked’ that it will be 2017 before work begins on the Kilcummin Sewerage Scheme that’s causing havoc for motorists. Brendan Cronin 1 Independent councillor Brendan Cronin says deplorable conditions on the Coolcorcoran Road to the village are costing motorists a fortune in car repairs. He’s calling on Irish Water to clarify when works are to begin as the situation is causing frustration and anger for people who travel the route. A response from Kerry County Council said it had been informed the work would take place in 2017 but Cllr Cronin said this was unacceptable as it would be at least 2018 before it was completed.
