Senior Engineer with Kerry County Council, Paul Stack says a more proactive approach by the council in relation to hedge cutting will be employed. Area engineers will travel around the county to ensure that landowners are complying with the regulations set down in the 1993 act. Paul Stack says preliminary notices will be served to 2600 landowners around the county by the end of September. After a four week period, enforcement officers will then check who has complied. Paul Stack says he is expecting almost full compliance.
