Council takes ownership of land along Great Southern Trail

Kerry County Council has taken ownership of part of land along the old railway line from Limerick to Tralee.

Some 40km of the 85km Great Southern Trail has been developed on the West Limerick side.

Kerry County Council has published tenders for consultants to develop the section from Listowel to Abbeyfeale.

The closing date for tenders is the 26th of April and consultants will be appointed in May; they’ll then carry out a preliminary environmental screening and design the scheme.
