Council Cathaoirleach to officiate at O’Connell Commemoration in Glasnevin

The annual Daniel O’Connell Commemoration takes place in at the O’Connell Tower in Dublin’s Glasnevin Cemetery tomorrow. This commemoration marks the 169th Anniversary of O’Connell’s death in Genoa in 1847. On his final pilgrimage to Rome, Daniel O’Connell’s final wish was “My body to Ireland, my heart to Rome, my soul to heaven”.
