Council announce allocation to support development of Ciorcail Comhrá across Kerry

Kerry County Council has announced an allocation of €1,000 to support the development of Irish Language Ciorcail Comhrá across Kerry.

The scheme helps groups run conversation circles in partnership with Gaelscoil, Gaeltacht school or branch of Glór na nGael, Conradh na Gaeilge, GAA or Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

The Duolingo app, which has 2.6 million people learning Irish worldwide, is now available on Kerry Library website, kerrylibrary.ie.

Kerry County Council Chief Executive Moira Murrell said this is a wonderful opportunity to practice Irish and urged Kerry people to get involved in Seantain na Gaeilge events this week.
