The Community Nursing Unit in Dingle has been given the go ahead to look for contractors. The Health Board is to place a notice in the official journal of the European Community in relation to the proposed development. The unit will cost in the region of 18 million euro and will have 72 beds in three care modules. There will also be a day care unit, a mental health day care unit and an ambulance base. Minister O`Donoghue has welcomed the move.
