Conradh na Gaeilge calling on candidates to back plan Irish language and Gaeltacht areas

Conradh na Gaeilge is asking every candidate to back its plan for the Irish language and Gaeltacht areas. Conradh na Gaeilge The organisation’s looking for: An investment of €18 million to expand the use of Irish and to create more than one thousand jobs; A Cabinet Minister for the Irish language and the Gaeltacht; and the establishment of a joint Oireachtas committee for the language and Irish speaking regions. Conradh na Gaeilge says Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin, the Anti-Austerity Alliance and People Before Profit have given their support to these proposals.
