Community orchards to be planted at West Kerry Community Hospital

Residents, staff and volunteers are planting a community fruit and nut orchard in the grounds of Dingle’s West Kerry Community Hospital today. Transition Kerry 18 trees will be planted, including apple, pear, plum, damson, hazelnut and walnut. The project was developed by Transition Kerry who – through the Local Agenda 21 Fund – are supporting the planting in Dingle, Tralee and Listowel. Today’s event, co-ordinated by Transition Corca Dhuibhne, takes place at the hospital at 2pm.
