Kerry County Council says the collapse of part of a wall leading to the sea on the N67 in Tarbert is more serious than initially thought.
Fine Gael Cllr Liam Purtill raised the issue at the recent Listowel Municipal District meeting, calling
on the council to address the issue.
The underneath part of a section of the wall on the seaward side of Island road between Tarbert and Tarbert Island has collapsed.
Local Fine Gael Cllr Liam Purtill has called on Kerry County Council to rectify the problem.
The council says the condition of the wall appears to be of a more serious nature than initially readily visible.
They say a full structural analysis of the wall will have be undertaken, and this will be done in conjunction with Transport Infrastructure Ireland to find a solution.
