Club owner denies allegations of discrimination

Pub and nightclub owners in the county have been criticized for discriminating against travelers. The comments come after an incident on New Year`s Eve during which a group of Travelers were charged 50 euros a couple to gain entry to a nightclub where the normal price was 8 euro. Leonard Evans and his Traveler friends got no explanation as to why the price was increased for them. When contacted by Radio Kerry the club owner denied the allegations. Speaking on this morning’s Kerry Today Leonard said he and his friends experience discrimination on a daily basis.
