Cllr calls for dog licence fee to be waived to cover cost of micro-chipping

A Kerry County Councillor is calling for the dog licence fee to be waived for a year to help owners cover the cost of micro-chipping their animals. dan_mccarthySince April 1st it is compulsory to have all dogs micro-chipped and registered with a Government approved database. Fines of up to five thousand euro can be imposed on owners whose dogs are not chipped.
