Chief Executive of The Great Southern Hotel steps down.

Emanon McKeon has stepped down as Chief Executive of The Great Southern Hotel group. He is succeeded by Tralee man, John O`Mahony, who was previously Deputy Chief of Finance with Aer Rianta and Financial Controller of the hotel group. Mr O`Mahony takes charge of the group which is part of Aer Rianta. But plans by the Minister for Transport to break up Aer Rianta means the hotel chain faces an uncertain future. Minister Seamus Brennan had considered selling off the great southern group but consultants price waterhouse coopers advised against this.
