Chair of Kerry IFA calls for clarity on wage scandal

The Chair of the Kerry Branch of the Irish Farmers’ Association says clarity is needed on the issue of wages for those high up in the organisation. Sean Brosnan Last evening Pat Smith announced he was stepping down as General Secretary of the IFA following controversy over claims about his salary. Unconfirmed reports had suggested Mr Smith’s was being paid around 400,000 euro. Mr Brosnan is going to a meeting of an executive council of the IFA in Portlaoise to discuss the matter and says there needs to be complete clarity: [audio_player src=””]
