Celtic Given Green Light For Champions League

Celtic Celtic have been given the green light to compete for a place in the group stages of this season’s Champions League. The Hoops will now face Maribor in Wednesday’s play-off clash after Legia Warsaw lost their bid to be reinstated in the competition. The Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected the appeal by the Polish champions against the punishment from UEFA for fielding an ineligible player during the second-leg of their qualifier win against Celtic.
