Castleisland man fined in relation to hit and run incident

Tralee courthouseA Castleisland man charged in relation to a hit and run incident has been fined for 400 euro for driving without insurance and 250 euro for failing to stay at the scene. 27 year old David Dowdall of 21 An Caisleán Mór, Castleisland faced the charges in relation to the incident at College Road Castleisland on March 15th this year. His solicitor David Ramsay told Tralee District Court that he had panicked because he had no insurance. The court heard that Mr Dowdall who has a previous dangerous driving conviction has already paid the 500 euro vehicle damage.
