Castlegregory Original Kerry craft centre exceeding turnover estimates

A craft centre in Castlegregory, operated by the body representing the craft industry in Kerry, is proving to be a huge success since opening at the start of July. Mayor of Kerry Cllr Pat McCarthy opening the new Original Kerry Craft Centre in Castlegregory last Friday. According to Original Kerry, turnover has exceeded expectations, resulting in an excess of €25,000 going back to Kerry crafters through sales. Original Kerry also promotes the Craft Trail which enables people to visit the 29 craft makers and see at first-hand how the crafts are produced. The initiative is supported by the South Kerry Development Partnership Ltd, through its INTERREG Rural Alliances project, by Kerry County Council and the Local Enterprise Office.
