Calls for traffic lights or one-way system to be introduced on Slea Head Drive

Traffic lights or a one-way traffic system are needed on the Slea Head drive to alleviate traffic congestion and lengthy delays during the summer months.

That’s according to West Kerry Councillor Seamus Cosaí Fitzgerald who’s calling on Kerry County Council to implement measures to combat the problem.

The coastal Slea Head Drive is one of the top tourist routes in the country, around the western edge of the Dingle Peninsula.

The road is narrow and only amenable to a single lane of traffic in places.

This, according to Cllr Cosaí Fitzgerald, is causing problems – for people living in the area and for visitors:
