A member of the harbour commissioners in Dingle is calling on The Minister for the Marine to subsidise their running costs. The call comes following an angry statement by fishermen who are opposing what they consider a substantial increase in harbour dues. 26 skippers signed the letter calling for the resignation of the harbour board members. FG Cllr Seamus Cosai Fitzgerald says if The Minister agreed to take over the running of Dingle Harbour it would solve a lot of problems and would decrease the amounts that fishermen have to pay.
