cadburyCadbury’s workers will be balloted on recent proposals put forward by the WRC aimed at ending a row over the outsourcing of jobs. At a meeting of Unite and SIPTU members this afternoon shop stewards at the Coolock plant recommended the acceptance of the proposals and balloting is expected to begin next Sunday {20th} and will continue until the 22nd of March. It follows ‘indefinite’ strike action earlier this month over the outsourcing of 17 jobs at the company – which is run by Mondelez. However workers returned to work after two days following the proposals put forward at the WRC. Cadbury staff in Ireland, including its 80 plus employees in Rathmore, where there is no dispute,  had been put on protective notice.
