Barry Kenny of Iarnrod Eireann expects about 1,000 passengers using trains on routes leaving Kerry will be affected today. He says there’s huge disruption being caused by the industrial action. However he assured passengers that all rail services that left the county this morning before 11 am will reach their destination.Meanwhile there was a noticeable increase in the number of people using bus services this morning prior to the 11 o clock work stoppage. Michael Mc Elligott of Bus Eireann in Tralee says the main routes being affected are the hourly services to Cork and Limerick. It`s expected all routes will recommence as normal at 3 pm. However there will be no return journeys of these routes due to the absence of drivers from earlier scheduled trips.
