Bertie Ahern has admitted he ‘got some things wrong’ as Taoiseach – and the pain of the financial crisis “breaks his heart”. 
The former Taoiseach’s giving evidence to the Banking Inquiry this afternoon. He says all international advice would be that there would be a soft landing of the construction boom. But he says the boom was not squandered – and he’s proud of many of the things his governments achieved.
