The DPP has told the Banking Inquiry NOT to hear evidence from the former Anglo boss David Drumm by video link. Mr Drumm had agreed to give evidence on Wednesday, by video from the United States, where he now lives. He is wanted by Gardai here for questioning. The Director of Public Prosecutions has also suggested she would try and stop the inquiry if it rejected the advice and tried to proceed. The inquiry team will meet in private tomorrow where it is expected to accept legal advice from the DPP and its own senior counsel and not proceed with a video link with David Drumm on Wednesday.
