Motorists should be able to use the new Tralee to Ballycarthy road on the approach to town in the coming weeks. Paving works are due to take place shortly and the contractor says mild weather is required for this phase. He`s hoping to be able to remove the temporary ramp at The Ballyseedy monument shortly and have traffic on the new road by the end of the month. However the contracter is warning there will be significant disruption to traffic when the asphalt is being placed, although this will not happen until the New Year. The works caused significant traffic disruption recently while the new roundabout was being paved. Overall the scheme is on course to be finished by April of next year.
