It’s understood the remains of baby Karol Rozycki – who was found dead in a Killarney apartment on Sunday – have been released to his family. The 11-month old is believed to have been discovered by his mother at the Park Place apartment on High Street, upon returning home from work, shortly before 6pm on Sunday. A man found in the apartment with serious injuries was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry – it is understood he has since been transferred to Cork University Hospital. A postmortem was carried out on baby Karol on Monday – preliminary results have been furnished to the investigating team but are not being released for operational reasons. Hundreds of people attended a special bilingual Mass – celebrated in Polish and English – in St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney in memory of baby Karol on Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing and Gardaí are continuing to appeal for information.
