Assurances given that Kerry teenager in need of life-saving operation will be moved to ICU in Cork

The brother of an 18-year-old Tralee girl who’s in need of a life-saving operation has been given assurances that she will be transferred to an intensive care unit by the end of the day. Breda Kevane is in an induced coma at University Hospital, Kerry and is awaiting urgent surgery on her airways to save her life. PaddyShe needs to be transferred to an available ICU bed in Cork University Hospital or University Hospital Limerick – as no such facilities are available in Kerry. The lack of such a bed led to Paddy making an appeal on social and broadcast media. Paddy’s now been given assurances by a number of politicians that Breda will be moved to the intensive care unit at CUH by the end of the day. [audio_player src=””]
