Ambulance drivers to return to the Labour Court.

Ambulance drivers in the county are to return to the Labour Court to try and settle a dispute over on call ambulance service to the Kenmare area. The Southern Health Board wants the service to be shared between the Kenmare and Killarney areas. The Health Board and ambulance drivers represented by SIPTU met on Friday to try and resolve the issue but no agreement could be reached. Ambulance drivers now plan to take the issue back to the Labour Court. According to Ted Kenny of SIPTU it is hoped that the dispute will be resolved within a month.
