The two men that were being questioned in relation to the assault of Garda David Kenneally have been released. A third man who was detained yesterday was released and a file sent to the DP.P.Garda Kenneally was left with vicious injuries following a brutal attack in the town that left him with a broken leg and severe head trauma. The two men in their twenties were released shortly after two o clock today. One was questioned at Listowel Garda station and the other at Tralee. A file will be sent to the director of public prosecutions.They were arrested in their homes shortly after 8 o clock this morning. They were held for questioning under the provisions of the criminal justice act. Meanwhile a third man who is also from the town was released yesterday after being arrested. He was also held for questioning and a file will be sent to the d.p.p.Garda Kenneally is understood to be recovering at home in cork following the horrific attack which is believed to have been witnessed by up to 60 people. Gardai in Listowel have interviewed over 120 people in connection with the vicious assault.
