Agriculture Minister welcomes IFA President decision to step back

The Agriculture Minister has welcomed Eddie Downey’s decision to step back from his role as IFA President. Agriculture-Minister-Simon-Coveney-e1360677073878 Simon Coveney says it was the right decision to make as a review of pay and pensions for top level IFA members gets underway. Last night the Association revealed Mr Downey was paid 147,000 euro a year, while the Deputy President Tim O’Leary is paid 35,000 euro.
