Agriculture Minister opens new €2.3 million Dairy Research & Education Facility

Dairymaster logoCauseway based Dairymaster is to part fund a new €2.3 million dairy research and educational facility. Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney will open the new University College Dublin facility tomorrow at 2 o’clock. The UCD Lyons Research Farm is located near Celbridge, Co Kildare and operates mixed enterprises – supporting teaching and research in the areas of beef, crops, dairy, equine, sheep and pigs. The new facility is also intended as a showcase for Irish agriculture and Irish-designed dairy technology exported all over the world. The project has received funding from Dairymaster along with FBD, Glanbia, the Munster Cattle Breeding Group, Devenish Nutrition, Progressive Genetics and the Irish Holstein Friesian Association.
