The adjudication of the doubtful votes in the count afresh of the Listowel Municipal District is due to get underway shortly. Candidates or the agents will examine the pile of around 200 votes to decide whether they will be included or excluded from the count. If there is a dispute candidates can request the ballots be brought before Circuit Court Judge Tom O’Donnell, who is supervising the count afresh. This could take place in open court in Limerick, where the judge is sitting today. Meanwhile, count one is continuing at the John Mitchels GAA Club in Tralee. This count afresh arose from a legal challenge taken by Independent candidate Dan Kiely to the Supreme Court. It is understood that ten spoiled votes have now been excluded.
