Abbeydorney native takes up position as head of IDA today

The Kerry man who’s been appointed the new head of the IDA will takes up the position today. IDA Ireland logo It was announced last June that Abbeydorney man Martin Shanahan, who’s been chief executive at Forfás, would take charge of the agency responsible for industrial development. A graduate of the University of Lancaster and Trinity College Dublin, Martin Shanahan succeeds Barry O’Leary and will lead the agency’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment to Ireland.
