90% of INO members expected to vote in favour of strike action

Over 90 percent of the county’s INO members are expected to vote in favour of strike action because of the Health Service Executive’s failure to pay wage increases due to midwives and nurses. The mandate to serve strike notice was given at the Irish Nurses Organisation Annual Delegate Conference in Killarney and the ballot will be held on the 30th and 31st of May. The INO representative for Kerry, Michael Dineen says there is an angry mood among nurses in the county.
