Kerry Group has issued additional payments totalling over six million euro to its 3,300 milk suppliers in response to the difficulties currently facing dairy farmers. The payment is an 0.6 cent per litre supplied last year excluding forward contract litres. However, Kerry Group have reduced their April milk price by 1.5 cent to 23.5 cent per litre having previously held their price since November. The company says it has honoured a commitment to pay the leading milk price on a like for like basis for 2015 as per its contract. Meanwhile, 460 milk suppliers have signed up to a mediation process with Kerry Group in an ongoing dispute over the so called 13th payment for last year.
