The stand-off between planning officials and councillors is set to escalate in two week’s time when over 50 section 140s are brought before the April meeting. It’ll push to over 100 the number of motions that Councillors have put down since the beginning of the year.90 per cent of them come from the Killarney and Killorglin areas. Members of the Council have consistently complained about the interpretation of the County Development Plan and the difficulties people are having in building one-off houses in rural areas.
