4pm Latest update on road closures and flooding in Kerry

? Kerry County Council are advising motorists to exercise extreme care as roads across the county continue to be affected by flooding following heavy rain fall last night. Many roads are closed as a result of Storm Frank which hit the country yesterday. Kerry County Council has this update. The N72 from Beaufort Bridge to Ballymallis is closed-Diversions in place from Killorglin via Beaufort and Milltown. Glenflesk to Barradubh Road closed Foiladown Road closed N71 Killarney Molls Gap Road is now passable Road from Beaufort Bar to Joys Cross is now passable. Caution is advised on the Milltown Fossa Road at Listry Bridge as there is a lot of surface water on the road. In Killarney Town there are a number of Road Closures in Place. Ballycasheen Road at the Train Bridge ,Mill Road to Ballycasheen, and Lower Ross Road are all flooded. While the worst of the rain has passed spot flooding and excessive surface water remains a problem on many roads. Driving conditions may be poor and motorists and other road users are urged to exercise extreme caution. The Councils Transfer Station in Kenmare will remain closed to-day. All other Transfer Stations and Civic Amenity Sites are open. Meanwhile the Bog road is closed between Banna and Ballyheigue. Diversions in place via Kilmoyley. And after further assessment the Ranaleen road Currow will be closed for a number of days to clear the land slip. Local diversions will be put in place. The road at the Mall ,Rockfield faha is closed and will remain closed as it is flooded and damaged,and the road at flynns forge is closed and will remain closed as it is flooded and damaged. Elsewhere this mornings Kerry to Dublin flight from Farranfore was cancelled and the Dublin to Kerry flight to arrive at 12:50 was also cancelled, however the airport says there are no other cancellations at the moment. It is advising intending passengers to keep an eye on the Kerry Airports website or contact it at 066 9764644. Shannon Ferries say their services are operating to schedule at the moment. All Bus Eireann services are operating as normal this morning also.
