Kerry musicians and dancers have brought home a haul of 46 medals from the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil. The county’s competitors at the Fleadh in Sligo over the weekend picked up 14 golds, 19 silvers and 13 bronze medals at the centrepiece of the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann calendar. There was a particularly strong showing in dancing with two north Lixnaw dancers, Ranóg Townsend and Alanah Kissane coming first and third in the under-18 sean nós competition. PRO of the Kerry County Board of Comhaltas, John Stack, said the competitors did the county proud: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/44208/medium/”]
