There`s been an increase of almost 300% of civil marriages in the county. Last year alone 125 couples were married in the Registrar`s Office in Killarney. Legislation recently passed will see civil marriages taking place all over the county.According to the Deputy Registrar for civil marriages in Kerry Mary Theresa O`Shea the only venue currently available to couples seeking a registry wedding is the Registrar`s Office in Killarney. Speaking on this mornings Kerry Today Mary Theresa said when the new Civil Registration Bill is enacted it will offer couples in the county a wider choice of location for their wedding.
