25 patients on trolleys at UHK today

University Hospital Kerry has one of the highest numbers of patients waiting on trolleys today.

According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 25 people in need of a bed there.

Nationally, there’s 395 people on trolleys in emergency departments and on wards today.


University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 54 patients on trolleys, while there are 39 at Cork University Hospital.
