2015 sees reduction in number of ATM skimming in Kerry

ATMThe number of ATM skimming incidents in Kerry has reduced in 2015, however a number of minor incidents did occur in the Tralee area. When your card is skimmed a copy of the magnetic strip is taken through a small handheld device called a ‘skimmer’, however most ATMs now have anti skimming devices. Payments expert Una Dillon also credits the work of the banks and the Garda Bureau of Fraud with the reduction.
