16 General Election candidates declared for Kerry

ballot-boxSixteen candidates have now declared for the new Kerry constituency for the general election. Fine Gael’s outgoing TDs, Brendan Griffin and junior minister, Jimmy Deenihan, are joined by former Tralee mayor, Grace O’Donnell. Fianna Fáil are running two candidates, Ballyheigue councillor, John Brassil is running alongside Waterville-based Norma Moriarty. Independents Henry Gaynor , Kevin Murphy, and Mary Fitzgibbon are standing as is Independent Right2Change candidate Michael ‘Pixie’ O’Gorman. Brian Finucane is representing People Before Profit while the Greens are running Michael Fitzgerald. Labour has opted for one candidate, Arthur Spring as did Sinn Féin with Martin Ferris, while Renua is running Donal Corcoran. Independent Michael Healy-Rae has been joined by brother Danny Healy Rae as his running mate.
