Up to 15 school attendance notices will be issued to parents in the County before the end of the school year. The notice is a final warning to parents whose children are not attending school and have refused prior intervention from the national educational welfare board. Dan O Shea is Regional Manager of the Munster Region National Education Welfare Board. He says the notices are a last resort.
