There have been 14 civil partnership ceremonies in Kerry since the first same-sex unions took place three years ago. In Munster, Kerry ranks second last in the number of civil partnerships that have taken place since 2011. Cork has had 120 ceremonies, Limerick 51, Clare 27 and Waterford 19. Tipperary has the fewest number in Munster with 13. Nationally, Dublin is the highest with 816 same sex unions while in the rest of the Republic, Monaghan is the lowest with two. The figures have been released by the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network.
