10 Kerry craftmakers to exhibit at National Crafts and Design Fair

national-crafts-and-design-fair-2016Kerry’s thriving arts and crafts sector will see ten local exhibitors showcased at the National Crafts and Design Fair at Dublin’s RDS.

Among the local craftspeople who will be showing off the best of Kerry are Skelligs Chocolates from Ballinskelligs, milliner Kathleen McAuliffe from Dingle and ceramic artist John Sheehy from Firbolg Designs in Tralee.

Others exhibiting at the fair include potter Colleen Bowler from Castlegregory and husband and wife team John and Siobhan Naughton from Lauragh Valley Handcrafts in Killarney.

Organiser Patrick O’Sullivan says the fair is vital to the industry as it’s estimated it generates enough business to keep most of the exhibitors busy for at least four months of the year.

The National Crafts and Design Fair 2016 takes place at the RDS Main Hall from Wednesday to Sunday.
